Boxing Day curry. The meal you make from Christmas leftovers when you can’t face another cold turkey sandwich. It’s a British institution, and Aldi has bottled it.

Well, bagged it.

These are fantastic. The curry flavour is complex and warming, with distinct notes of cumin, coriander, and turmeric. There’s a slight heat that builds as you eat, nothing aggressive, just a gentle warming that suits the festive theme.

The genius touch

What elevates these beyond standard curry crisps is a subtle meatiness in the background. It’s not identifiable as turkey specifically, but there’s a poultry undertone that sells the Boxing Day concept. You’re not just eating curry crisps. You’re eating the memory of a specific meal.

The handcooked base provides essential structural support for the bold flavouring. Lesser crisps would buckle under this much seasoning.

Seasonal limitations

These are typically only available around Christmas, which is both appropriate and frustrating. They’re good enough to eat year-round, but Aldi insists on the seasonal scarcity.

One of the best limited-edition crisp flavours I’ve encountered.
