Where Tesco falls short
Doritos has decades of formula refinement. The exact balance of heat, tang, and corn flavour is dialled in. Tesco’s version is rougher, less refined, with heat that doesn’t integrate as smoothly with the base chip.
You’re aware you’re eating an alternative rather than the real thing. For significant savings, that awareness might be acceptable. For similar prices, it’s not.

Check the price. If Tesco is meaningfully cheaper than Doritos, these work. If not, buy Doritos.
