The potato flavour comes through. Earthy, genuine, the taste of vegetable that industrial processing usually eliminates. The light salting enhances rather than overwhelms, letting the potato speak.
There’s nothing revolutionary here. Lightly salted hand-cooked crisps exist across multiple brands. But Co-op’s version competes credibly with all of them, which is achievement enough from a retailer better known for meal deals than gastronomy.
