Ultimate Cheese. The name promises extremity. The product delivers… fine cheese flavouring on stackable crisps.
It’s better than the Sour Cream and Onion, because cheese flavouring hides sins better than subtle dairy tang. The cheese is present and reasonably bold, doing its job of making each crisp taste of something.
But “ultimate”? No. Tangy Cheese Doritos are ultimate. These are Doritos cosplaying as Pringles while wearing a cheese costume. A confused product from a confused sub-brand.
Eat them if they’re there. Don’t seek them out.
