Sweet potato tortillas with cool flavour seasoning is a strange combination. Sweet potato is sweet. Cool flavour is tangy and creamy. The pairing seems arbitrary, concepts colliding without obvious synergy.
But it works, weirdly.
The sweet potato provides a base that’s different from corn, naturally sweeter, with more distinct vegetable character. The cool seasoning, that sour-cream-adjacent tang, cuts through the sweetness effectively. They balance each other, each element moderating the other’s potential excess.
The texture is good. Sweet potato chips with proper crunch, substantial enough for dipping, interesting enough for solo snacking. M&S has figured out how to make alternative base ingredients work in tortilla format.
Not essential. But interesting enough to recommend trying once, and satisfying enough that once might become regular.
