Chicken tikka masala is officially a British dish, invented here, consumed here more than anywhere else. Making it into a crisp flavour is culturally appropriate in a way that other curry crisps might not be.
The flavour is well-judged. Creamy tomato curry with gentle spice, exactly the CTM profile that British palates expect. Not too hot, not too mild, calibrated for mass appeal while remaining recognisably curry.
On thin Walkers crisps, the curry flavour struggles slightly. This is a bold seasoning that would benefit from a more substantial format. But the flavour itself is good enough to recommend despite the vehicle’s limitations.
A British classic in British crisp form. Makes sense.
