Sour Cream & Onion was already the best standard Pringles flavour. Adding the HOT treatment makes it genuinely good. Not “good for Pringles.” Actually good.
The creamy tanginess provides a base that handles heat beautifully. The sour cream cools while the chilli warms, creating a push-pull dynamic that maintains interest across the entire tube. It’s the complexity that standard Pringles flavours lack, built through contrast rather than depth.
The “Kickin'” descriptor is earned. There’s genuine spice here, building heat that requires attention. But the sour cream element means the heat never becomes harsh. It’s modulated, balanced, integrated into the overall flavour rather than just added on top.
Format justified
The uniform Pringles texture actually works here. The consistent delivery creates consistent heat buildup, predictable in a way that aids pacing. You know where you are in the tube based on how much your lips are tingling.
The verdict
This might be the only Pringles product I’d actively recommend rather than merely accept. The combination of their best flavour with their HOT treatment creates something worth seeking out.
The exception that proves the rule about the rest of the range.
