Worcestershire sauce is an underused crisp flavour. That fermented, umami-rich, tangy complexity deserves more representation in the snack aisle. Walkers’ version provides it.
The flavour is authentically Worcestershire. You can taste the fermented depth, the anchovy undertones, the tamarind tang. It’s not “brown sauce flavour” or “tangy meat flavour.” It’s specifically, recognisably Worcestershire sauce.
On a standard Walkers crisp, this would struggle. The thin texture can’t carry bold flavours well. But Worcestershire sauce is intense enough to compensate, dominating the eating experience despite the structural inadequacies underneath.
A flavour that deserves better format. But the flavour itself is good enough to recommend despite the vehicle.
